I am absolutely certain that it's impossible for sinful men to understand the awesome sacrifice, limitless grace and incomprehensible love and humility it took to make these 12 spectacularly beautiful words a reality - but it will be a source of eternal joy for me to forever try.

He Cares
Whoever you are...
Whatever you've done or become...
Whenever it happened...
No matter why you ended up where you are...
Or how much you need and how little you have...
I can assure you that whatever circumstances you find yourself in that God has done far more with far less.
"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you."
(1 Peter 5:7)

What is the Bible?
I was asked to write a paragraph based on this question: What is the Bible? This came out instead.
The Bible is
The unparalleled
The infallible
The unfailing
and eternal word of God
The Bible is a lamp for my feet
A guide to my path
A sure anchor for my soul
A comfort in times of trouble
and a rebuke in times of selfishness
Through the Bible God
Speaks to me
Teaches me
Tells me he loves me
and shows me what love really is
In the Bible I see
My sinfulness
And His holiness
My shame
and His Glory
But the Bible tells me that
Despite my unworthiness
Christ died for me
Christ was raised for me
and Christ will come again for me
God used the Bible to
To convict me
To humble me
To bring me low
So that He may raise me up
Now I use the Bible
To feed on
To gain strength from
Until I am called to be with Him
Or He returns to be with us
The Bible is

The Love of Money...
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. (1 Timothy 6:10)
Let us beware of the love of money. It is possible to use it well, and do good with it. But for each one who makes a right use of money, there are thousands who make a wrong use of it, and do harm both to themselves and others. Let the worldly man, if he will, make an idol of money, and count him happiest who has most of it. But let the Christian, who professes to have “treasure in heaven,” set his face like a flint against the spirit of the world in this matter. Let him not worship gold. He is not the best man in God’s eyes who has most money, but he who has most grace.

Where does your Joy come from? I must admit that I have fallen into this trap more times then I can count.

Tomorrow is Always a Bad Day
It's impossible to see the images on television of the tragedy in Haiti without realizing just how fragile and unpredictable life in this fallen world can be. I have decided to leave it to those smarter then me explain the theological implications of disasters such as the earthquake that has devastated Haiti, except to say this. Tomorrow is always a bad day.So many say:
Tomorrow I will reconcile that relationship
Tomorrow I will spend more time with my kids
Tomorrow I will spend some time with that aging parent
Tomorrow I will offer forgivness
Tomorrow I will stop doing those things that hurt the ones I love
Tomorrow I will be more loving and kind, generous and compassionate
Tomorrow I will get right with God
It may not be a sudden tsunami that drags you out to sea or an earthquake that buries you beneath a hundred tons of concrete, but the one thing that is for sure is that for each and every one of us, no exceptions, the day is coming were there will be no tomorrow. If there is something on the list above that you have left for tomorrow, I pray that before your head hits the pillow tonight you get it done.
May God be with the survivors of the Haitian Earthquake and move in the hearts of those who can help to be generous in their giving, both physically and spiritually.

Such a Great Promise
The bible is filled with so many great and precious promises from God. Some save us, some encourage us, some fill our hearts with joy. Today I will delight in this:
Isaiah 30:21 "Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it."
Which way shall I go? This way
Isaiah 30:21 "Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it."
Which way shall I go? This way
