Is it wise to constantly expose young children to graphic images and endless discussions about impending destruction as the Jehovah's Witnesses so often do?
The answer is clearly NO, as the results can be tragic.

Imagine how empty the house must feel now that only one of three children remain. What a tragic, sad end to precious human life.
ReplyDeleteI know the purpose of your post and of the video was about the dangers posed by showing destructive images by the Watchtower, but I've heard similar messages growing up.
I also doubt it's solely the Watchtower's fault (although I'm not defending them). TV, video games, cartoons, and comic books are mostly all violent. By God's grace alone was my mind "relatively" protected from this danger.
Hey Mike... I agree with you. We need to be very careful what we expose our children to whether it be on tv, video games or church. We need to be able that they are mentally able to process the information.
ReplyDeleteThe one thing about the WT is that they constantly bombard these kids with these images and graphic depictions literally from birth. They put them on a treadmill of works teaching them to live in "fear" of Armageddon if they are not living up to the expectations set up for them.
This continues into adulthood as well. I just heard from a Christian man I know yesterday that is asking for prayer because his JW mother has become suicidal because she fears Armageddon and sees taking her life as the only way out. (it is common knowledge among jws that the only way to avoid Gods wrath at Armageddon is to die before it happens) Please pray for them.
Wow, no kidding? How tragic to live without hope in Jesus Christ.
